Friday 4th March and I AM SHOCKED by what I hear

Hi

It is already Friday and I have mailed 300 -350 people some of whom have responded by telling me of friends, relatives or just people they know who have been struck down by this terrible cancer.

It is quite incredible, so I have now named it the "Silent Killer". It seems to suddenly appear out of nowhere and within weeks a family has lost a loved one.

WE HAVE TO FIND A CURE - PLEASE HELP BY SUPPORTING MY RIDE and visit the website - this is the easy part

By doing so at least we are directing the funds at finding a cure by the setting up of SEVEN specialised units around the U.K.

I try to give a short resume on how I am progressing so here goes:

Miles/kilometres so far:  52 miles or 84 kilometres
Money raised via Virgin Money Giving: £217.50 to date
Other monies raised thru' armband sales: £58.00 to date

Bike condition: rear Shimano required adjustment. Front brakes wearing out fast.
I expect to get through one set of brake blocks and probably one front tyre. Also Rear tube to be replaced tonight.

I also try to end on a slightly lighter note by adding a cartoon, so not to detract from the serious cause here is today's.

P.S. My knees are rather similar at least!
